This user is not existing in a PQA
http://www.powerqa.org/qa/user/somerandomstringforuser

but if you click on url then it shows member for 47 years (since Jan 1, 1970) . You can also see link to send private message, when clicked it shows page not found. PQA should not show such user pages.

I have noticed the new notification alert of new questions and users on the menu bar. Well that is a very good feature which you have there. However I was expecting if I open to view that particular page it would clear like it does on notifications. Is it abug or its me to clear my cache on the browser?

Uploaded file name is set to the "Alt" attribute of uploaded images by CKEditor image dialog OR D&D image upload feature.

"Link text" of uploaded files

Uploaded file name is set to the "Link text" of uploaded files by CKEditor link dialog.

Expand mode has been added in categories page.

All of categories will be shown in this mode.

Collapse mode (Old style)

You can select specific category in this mode.

Browse mode on list page: Initial mode
Columns on Categories page: Column count in case of expand mode (1/2/3).

Of course, expand mode supprts responsive.

Certainly, it is common routine. But, I think security strength is reduced a little. Normally, Gideon do not make redundant interface. There might be different meaning to make such a redundant view.

Since password remineder is most targeted from crackers, I would not reflect that changes into PowerQA.

Now PQA categories page is here. It is same with Q2A. I have "Category Navigation Pro" plugin for Q2A. If there is many needs, I will try to merge it to the PQA V1.9, and replace default categories page with full list of plugin.

Activity Count Widget was improved

Improved points

sparklines and Stats history feature were added to the PowerQA core
Activity Count Widget plugin was improved.

Until now, core had only total number of questions, answers, comments and users. In new version, history of last 30 days will be stocked. In addition, history data is cached into option tables as "cache_history". Therefore, we can use data all over the place without degrading performance.

Deal policy

It is same with Q2A. 4 byte unicode in input string will be removed.

Change of the core

It is not same with Q2A. Lower level process has been changed. As a result of this change, the risk of the string is ignored by MySQL has been almost eliminated.

Default aggregation period was changed

This is an experimental implementation.
Search word is limited to 5 words in default. If you hope to change this restriction, you have to change define in qa-include/qa-db-maxima.php.

ThreadStackSize of the Apache for Windows seems very small (Default:256KB?).

Blob data may not be cached in the browser by the PHP configuration.

For exmaple, session.cache_limiter is "nocache" <<< This is default setting of PHP.

In PowerQA, blob (Uploaded images and Files) are cached always.

Options:

These options did not work well on a particular web server. This is due to that Minify is using $_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT'] variable. Therefore, I've customized Minify. As a result, these features became to move correctly on many servers.

This is a request from my client.

In the company, workers will be grouped in sections. And, workers have position (role) in the section. The company must have threads that has been limited to the specific section or specific role.

For example ...

Users:

UserA: CEO
UserB: Manager of section1
UserC: Staff of section1
UserD: Manager of section2
UserE: Staff of section2

Threads:

Overall discussion: UserA, UserB, UserC, UserD, UserE
Discussion of executive : UserA, UserB, UserD
Discussion of manager: UserB, UserD
Discussion in section1: UserB, UserC

I'm thinking of adding "Section (Group)" and "Position (Role)" feature in PQA V1.1. "Section (Group)" and "Position (Role)" can be set with "Extra User Field" feature in PQA. However, this feature is necessary to change basic search query, PQA core will be modified. By preparing a plurality of databases, there is a method to manage users in one table. However, this method can not be used in complex configurations.

Do you have any good idea?
